Narasimha(The Mahaavatar Trilogy #1)by Kevin Missal is a story of Kashyapuri. The story of Prahlad, Hiranyakashyap and Narasimha.

The plot of the story is interesting with twists. The author tells the story from the perspective of various characters. The narration of the story is crisp and engaging keeping the reader hooked throughout. When we say the story is told from a different perspective, it makes the reader feel that it will be a heavy book but Kevin did his job in a wonderful way.

At some places, the story is a bit dragged which makes the reader a bit tedious. The writing style of the author is crisp and lucid keeping the reader hooked throughout. The language used by the author is simple and gripping.

I loved reading the stories from a different perspective. The story of Prahlad is completely different from what we have heard so far. There are various themes like love, loss, friendship, relationship, jealousy are used by the author.

The characters that the author developed are strong and relatable. one can easily relate to the story of each character. The strong characters like Holika, Prahlad, Driti makes a huge impact on readers. It’s a bit slow paced story.

I loved Holika and Prahlad’s story the most. The cover and the title of the story is impressive. Overall it’s a good book with an amazing plot.
