The Heist Artist by Vish Dhamija is the story of Vagh Pratap Singh aka Caption and Sylvia. The Caption is ready to retire when he found his last, and biggest case. How will he solve the Mystery? What happens next?

When Udham Kumar, a crooked politician commissions the Captain to track down and steal Poppy Flowers, a Vincent van Gogh’s painting that has been smuggled into India after it went missing in a museum in Egypt in 2010.

It’s a wonderful story with a lot of twists and turns. A fast-paced thriller with a mystery that you’ll love. The narration of the story is crisp and gripping. I loved the way the author sequenced the events. The story started at a low key. It was getting tedious with the first few chapters, later the story picked up well.

I loved the last few chapters. It was a thriller ride. Though the ending then became a bit predictable. Thriller, love, mystery are some themes used by the author to make it an interesting read. The drama and dialogues which keeps the reader hooked throughout.

The language used by the author is simple and Lucid. The writing style of the author is gripping and upto the point. It’s commendable.

I liked the character development done by the author. Each character had a vital role to play. I liked Sylvia’s character. Strong characters again make the story more appealing. One can relate to the story from the very first page.

I liked the cover and the title of the story. The blurb seems impressive. Overall, it’s a wonderful story full of action, thrill and mystery. A story with a wonderful plot, crisp narration, simple language and an Amazing writing style.
