Gently pour upon me your love
pure and white, soft as a dove
Look at the moon as it looks onto me
Though apart, together we be.

Summary:

Ayesha is a young travel-writer, who has been stumbling along in her search for love. Nursing a broken heart, she decides to visit her parents in Ahmedabad for a short reprieve. Even as she struggles to resign herself to a marriage ‘arranged’ by her parents, she runs into their neighbour’s attractive son.

Parth is more than happy to spend time in his own company, in the comforts of his ‘resort’. His plan to take some time off before he plunges head long into his career lands him in front of a lovely girl. The pain in her eyes belies her warm smile and he finds himself irresistibly drawn to her. Yet he knows that this cannot end well, for any intimacy with her is forbidden.

Fate plays a cruel trick with Ayesha when it ends her search for love in a cul-de-sac, a point of no return. Ayesha is distraught when she realizes that the one person she has finally fallen in love with, is not hers to be had.

They part ways with memories that will return to haunt them and questions that will remain unanswered, until another tryst, seven years later on the other side of the world.

Review:

The books start with the story of Ayesha who is a travel writer and is in Ahmedabad for a small break to meet her parents. Like every Indian parent, her parents too want her to get married and settled, but Ayesha was in search of true love. Then he meets Parth and the story takes the turn.

This book is a sweet, simple love story where they found each other yet lost each other. Will their love find their way? The story beautifully describes how Ayesha left Parth as she didn’t want to lose his friendship. The story holds readers interest right from the start. It develops the eagerness to know what will happen next. Though It was a fast speed story but really enjoyed this roller coaster ride.  The plot that author set is really interesting, how we find love at unusual places. The character of Ayesha is really amazing, a strong, bold personality who choose to be independent and decides to travel across with her loving job. The character of Parth, how he takes care of Ayesha, A friend we all wish to have. Their pure friendship is described beautifully by the author. Their conversations were all inflow which gives a realistic feeling. The language used by the author is simple and interesting which grabs the attention of the reader.
Though the story was fast with some unnecessary elements but worth a read. It’s all about Friendship, Passion, Family, Romance, and Love. It showed siblings love so beautifully, Love between Parth and pia, Ayesha and Kavita’s friendship. How her parents never wanted her to marry in pressure. There was an understanding element between every character which impressed me the Most. I also loved the poems that Ayesha wrote.

It’s a Sweet, light heart love story. A good read.
