2 Day Down by Dr. Nikita Lalwani is a wonderful compilation of stories of 5 women from different walks of life. Each story digs into one of the five period related problems: Pain | Staining | Sexual Inhibition | PMS | Taboo, through each one’s journey.  It’s a story of  Haifa, Naisha, Meera, Henna and Aashima.

Kudos to the author for bringing the topic of women masturbation in a bold and wonderful way. Loved how she explained each and every emotion, the concept in a Light and apt way. The plot of each story is good. Each and every story was different from other, describing the pain that a woman goes through. I loved Ashima’s story the most.

The narration of the story is interesting. One can relate to the story from the very first page. The pace of the stories is smooth and crisp. The language used by the author is simple and easy. The writing style of the author is Lucid and gripping.

The characters that the author made were good, each of them having a different personality. I loved Meera’s character the most. Though the characters could have been more detailed. The cover and the title of the book is impressive.

Overall, It’s a light and wonderful read.
